Cocoa Beach, FL :: May 2014

"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change." James 1:17

My family is deeply blessed.

My father's parents invited us to spend a week with them in Cocoa Beach, FL at The Resort on Cocoa Beach. Before we left, the air conditioning and sliding doors in our car decided to stop working. We took our car into the shop and it turned out that we would have to pay over $2,000 to fix it before our trip. Of course, since we live on a pastor's salary, in no way were we able to afford that! We decided to take our car to our friend who fixes Hondas regularly and thankfully he said he could fix it for a few hundred dollars. We were so relieved and thankful! A few days later we were all packed and ready to drive over twelve hours down to the east coast of Florida. It was a very long drive, but it was so worth it! The weather was beautiful and it was great to have some family time!

Every single time my family has gone on vacation, we've gotten sick (or gotten lice...ew). So as always, we brought plenty of vitamins and medicine just incase. BUT PRAISE THE LORD! We made it through a vacation without anyone getting sick! It might seem silly, but it was a huge blessing for us.

The week was full of laughter, relaxation, fun and sand. I wouldn't trade spending time with these wonderful people for anything.

Anyway, I thought I'd post a few pictures I took of the fam with a Nikon D3200 I borrowed. The beach was just absolutely gorgeous and I had some pretty great models;)

Updates & Sunshine

Hello everyone!

Just thought I'd stop by + give a short update.
Recently, I was a part of helping with a bridal convention in Franklin advertising the photography company. It was a great experience + even though we only acquired one engagement session/wedding combo, it was great to be there. Later on I attended + helped out at the engagement session of the same couple that had signed up at that bridal convention. We went around Leipers Fork, Franklin + Nashville and got the most beautiful shots! You can see them here :)

Also, the weather here has been freezing + dreary, but in the past few days it's been warm + sunny! Praise the Lord, I was getting tired of temperatures in the teens. Plus gorgeous blue skies are my favorite things, so of course I snapped a few photos (unedited).

Does that not make you want to throw all your school books out the window + run outside? Because that's exactly what I wanted to do!

Anyway, thanks for reading and hopefully soon I'll be posting more frequently. I'm getting rather close to raising enough money for my new Canon -- I'll keep you updated ;)

Have a wonderful week!

xoxo,
Elisabeth

Fresh Start

Welcome to my newly redecorated + re-done blog!

Er...kind of.

Now as some of you that were previously following me know, this webpage used to be my personal blog. I have decided to change it into my photography database where I will be keeping you up to date on my photography training + business beginnings. I'm hoping 2014 will be a year of blessings + dreams come true!

From this point forward this blog will be "under construction" in preparation for launch of this new point in my life. I have scheduled the blog to open June 3, 2014 so keep your ears out!

Meanwhile, feel free to check out my new pages + stay tuned for more posts :)

Thanks!

xoxo,
Elisabeth
